SEO Researching (1 Comment) ()

Here’s a good link when you’re working on SEO and CPC stuff: http://www.googspy.com
And if you can’t figure out how to use it: http://www.associateprograms.com/googspy-competitor-research.shtml

I found out about this while at my day job and some SEO company called me up. They wanted me to pay like $5k/mo for their services to get our site, alaskanharvest.com listed higher in search results.

Here’s the deal. Our conversion rate from unknown visitors (ie, people who find us in searches) is kind of low. So extra traffic doesn’t really do much for us. Anyone got an idea to help the conversion rate? That’s what I’m interested in.

Tuesday November 15th 2005, 2:52 pm in Work

We (Greg and I) have a new house out on the market. It’s a 1300 sf house in SW Portland. It needs some work, thereby being a “fixer” and we’re going to start on it soon. It’s actually in pretty decent condition needing just cosmetics. If someone wants it before then to use as their own project it is available at $235k. Call me and I’ll give you the details and email you pictures. I can be reached on 503.481.5800.

The Center for Disease Control has released a list of
symptoms of bird flu. If you experience any of the
following, please seek medical treatment immediately:

1. High fever
2. Congestion
3. Nausea
4. Fatigue
5. Aching in the joints
6. An irresistible urge to crap on someone’s windshield.

(Okay, I must confess I didn’t come up with this. Angela forwarded me this email and I thought it was funny enough to post. Ang, when you get a Blog I’ll link to ya!)

You’re an Expert Kisser

You’re a kissing pro, but it’s all about quality and not quantity
You’ve perfected your kissing technique and can knock anyone’s socks off
And you’re adaptable, giving each partner what they crave
When it comes down to it, your kisses are truly unforgettable
What Kind of Kisser Are You?

Geeze. The things we’ll (or I’ll) do online when we’re bored…

Receipt Lengths (0 Comments) ()

How many trees are killed every year to print receipts long enough to use for toilet paper? I count Home Depot, Best Buy, Safeway and now Albertsons as the worst offenders.

Just look at this 16-inch long Albertsons receipt. Best part about it, it was for only 2 items total.

I use a cool program to track web stats on a most of my sites. Here’s a funny search referral that forwarded someone onto ESC: They searched for “which side is the dry side of a hurricane”

Um. Are we talking literal or relative dry side? Nice.
