Kudos,
Work
At the house (which is almost done and the open house is Oct 9th, 1-5pm) I hired a couple laborers from and ad I posted on Craigslist. Jake is one of them, and he’s a super hard worker. His work ethic is fabulous and he has a great, positive attitude. He has always been on time, works well unsupervised, and is professional in his demeanor. He is young and energetic but I know he’s not looking for a labor job forever. I think he’s looking for anything pretty much right now though. I think an indoor job would be something he’d be very appreciative of.
Help me find Jake a job. Contact him on 503-412-9665 and tell him Mika recommended him.

Random
At breakfast today (Way too early, guys - let’s get it down to, like 8am!) we were talking about my landlord experience as of late. I won’t go into details, but after a not-so-great last experience the renter put me down as a reference. What the hell? I mean, do you really think I’m going to lie for you? Get one of your friends to do it!
Keener said this was good Blog Fodder but I’m a bit confused. The definition works in this case but I would liken”fodder” more to something similar as Cannon Fodder where you’re pretty much doomed or sacrificing others just to have something to blog about. Cool term anyway.
Curve Balls (

Okay, I’m not one to complain (well maybe I am, I dunno but I don’t like sympathy) but life throws you curve balls sometimes and I’m starting to get really tired of it lately. It seems in the last year it has just been one thing after another and not just small things like speeding tickets (which I get my share of too…) STOP IT ALREADY! Okay, I’ll stop ranting now. I know I still have it pretty good compared to some and I appreciate what I do have.

Thoughts
Here I am thinkin, all this time I (and others, namely G-dawg) have put into the remodel will soon turn into money. Got it; time=money. Okay, more like time+money=more money. So given the amount of money that will make me (Millions, I tell you. Millions!) would I give that much money to get the time back? No. Enn oh! So therefore time equals money, but money does not necessarily equal time. Unless you’re old and decrepid and then money times 2 still doesnt equal time cause you can’t buy it back. We’re screwed from the beginning…
How much is $1.50 worth? (

Rants
Not too long ago I was talking with Keener and Chris ab out a gas station that I drive by occasionally on my way to work and how people will line up around the block because it’s consistently about the cheapest price of gas in town by around 10 cents. We figured, on most cars that saves you around $1.50 per fill up. But it has to take like 15 minutes AT LEAST when there are 10 other cars in line before you. Not worth it in my opinion!
Well, yesterday I witnessed something even better! On 82nd & Johnson Creek Blvd, there is a Fred Meyer gas station. Regular was 2.66/gal. If you sign up for their stupid “rewards” card you save 3 cents per gallon. Rewards card is free, just sign up once so you can get marketed to via junk mail. Here’s a thought; use fake address…. Anyway, the net = 2.63/gal. No waiting lines, nothing.
After I fill up, and leave I see the gas station across the street. It’s a 76 and I know they only accept cash “to keep prices lower” - I love my airmiles so needless to say I never get gas there. There are 4-5 islands with about 5 cars in line. Thinking it must be super cheap, I glance at the price. $2.62/gal for regular. Nice. You will wait how long to save 1 cent per gallon? I love people…
